Our EXCLUSIVE early notes program is designed to be developmentally appropriate for children ages 6 months to 5 years. In each level, children will be introduced to new and exciting concepts that will stimulate their growing minds and bodies.
Early childhood studies have shown that children learn best when more than one of their senses are engaged. In our program, children will hop, clap, roll, and sing their way through an adventure of fun and learning.
EIGHTH NOTES-6 Months to 18 Months
This is a parent involvement class that focuses on getting baby ready to crawl and walk. Core strength development is essential to reach these developmental milestones and we will achieve that through play. We will be singing songs to baby, wiggling fingers and toes, grasping and shaking maracas, rolling on colorful mats, and bouncing to the beat. All of these activities will stimulate your baby’s creativity and build strong muscles.
QUARTER NOTES-18 Months to 3 Years
In this level, your child will get to play rhythm instruments and have even more fun while learning how to hop, gallop, and even stand on their head! We will be counting, finding out about colors and shapes, and moving creatively to music. Parents will get to dance and play with their child and share in each new experience and discovery.
HALF NOTES-3 to 4 Years
In this teacher led class, children will get more exposure to musical concepts like tempo and tone. They will get to play in a band and learn how several instruments work together to create music. The children will also continue to learn body awareness through tumbling skills such as cartwheels and handstands. Creative expression will be encouraged with dance and craft projects.
WHOLE NOTES-4 to 5 Years
We will begin learning basic music theory in this level of EARLY NOTES. Children will start to learn note values and how to count and play those notes as well as learning the names of notes. Creative movement will be a big part of this class as the children learn to express themselves to their peers as well as adults. We will be working on balance, agility, and strength with tumbling activities as well as stimulating the children’s minds through art projects.
