 Sharon Yost

As a qualified music teacher with a BA degree in Music from Holy Names University, I have spent years studying my instrument, also playing professionally in chamber orchestra and as an organist.I have studied with renown concert pianist Diane Hidy, James A. Gardner, Dr. Del Case, Edith Grace Jones Strugeron.

I studied with Diane Hidy for Master Class of Music in the Music Teachers Association of California.I have played in Chamber music for North Bay Opera benefits, and played recitals in chamber for Contra Costa Performing Arts Society.

However, my passion is teaching adults and children of all ages. Some of my adult students are absolute beginners, avocational l pianists who play at an advanced level, and other piano teachers who want to improve their own playing.

My adult students come from all walks of life and have advanced degrees in fields such as Electronic Engineering, lawyers, Google gurus, and education for example.

I give student recitals every year for those studying piano. My main focus is teaching students to learn the piano to have a good time achieving their theory, technique, sight reading, interpretation of music. 

Passing on years of study and practice having studied with some of the best.Concert Pianist, Edithe Strugeron, Conductor of Pro Art Symphony James A. Gardener. Classical piano master class, with Diane Hidy, Renown concert pianist Carnegie, Hall. 

I went to Pacific Union College to study Organ with Dr. Dell Case, Also attended San Francisco Conservatory of Music. While attending HNU I studied with Elizabeth Adams, Sr. PhD. Head of music dept. HNU Master Class student with World known concert pianist and Roy Bogus.
